More Larry Norman: The Tune Live Video

Some time back, I wrote a post about Larry Norman and his influence on me and my music. In that post I wrote, "I love to see a person's heart exposed in their music and Larry Norman is the model. Norman, Keith Green, Pat Terry, and others paved the way for artists like myself....who are just trying to get their music from their hearts to the people."

Seeing Larry live, you get to see more than just a person's heart exposed in music, but sometimes his expression is simply so raw, real, so radical ... you see a performer with the guts. This video might take a bit, it's Larry's song: The Tune. Larry was once on stage and started playing with the piano - and ad-libbed a song. He found someone bootlegging the show and borrowed a copy of the tape - so he could learn the song - and perform it again.

Here is Larry live at the piano - singing: The Tune. You get to see some of Larry's humor as well. Enjoy:

I'll be posting a Keith Green Video later this week ... be sure to come back for that.

bands, artists, musicians - keep people coming to your site

Two Ways to Get Visits to Your Music Site
Here are two things you can do to help promote your website. I invite you to come along and use the same methods I am using. I'll post a couple of them in this post.

Number One: Traffic Swarm

Set Traffic Swarm as your start page, click 8 links everytime you begin a surf session (or at least one time when you open your browser) and you'll see people checking out your music. It is free, easy, and there's not a ton of music sites on this traffic exchange - so we stand out there as something unique. I get visits and make new fans with Traffic Swarm everyday. As most musicians know, it is not always easy to keep new people coming to your music site - with the Swarm - you don't have to wonder if someone is going to be stopping by to learn about your music today - you can count on it.

Number Two: MyBlogLog
This is a pretty awesome way to meet new friend, see new faces, and network your ownline sites, blog, myspace, etc.

Here's my blog log member page: Carder's MyBlogLog pay it a visit - consider signing up - feel free to add me as a contact and to join any of my communities: A Day in Life Chris Carder Music Online chris carder's myspace or Too Much Records

KRIS-to-fur is that how you say it?

Happened upon this name meanings thing - where they wanted your name and email and such just to tell you something you could google?

Anyway, the following is the result of my 10's if not 20's of seconds research - rolling back to my full name:

CHRISTOPHER

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: KRIS-to-fur [key]

Means "bearing Christ", derived from Late Greek Χριστος (Christos) combined with φερω (phero) "to bear, to carry". Christopher was the legendary saint who carried the young Jesus across a river. He is the patron saint of travellers. Another famous bearer was Christopher Columbus, the explorer who reached the West Indies in the 15th century. (source)

Popularity of Christopher (odd, for a few years in the 1990's some women were named 'Christopher' what's up with that? Where are you female Christopher's out there? Hidding probably.

Related names - 'Chip' you gotta be kidding?!!!
Origin of the name Christopher (sorta)

Well, isn't that fun - and it saved me all that time of waiting for the truckload of sp@m I would have gotten if I had used that online offer.

Well, the links above should be fun if you want to search your own first name.

And here's a couple of new year's resolutions for those setting the bar low: "Get in a whole new rut!" and "Procrastinate more. Starting tomorrow."
