CIA Summit 2007 in Franklin, Tennessee

Wow! I just spent the weekend at the CIA Summit conference in Franklin, TN. One of the best weekends I have had in a long time. The event is put on by Indieheaven.com and they sponsored the most professional conference I have ever been to as an independent artist. They had the top professionals in the fields teaching us how to get the music and message out to the world.....but it felt more like a huge family reunion with the most amazing times of worship and teachings. Keith Mohr started IH many years ago, but I have just heard of it in February and am so blessed to be a small part of it. I can not wait to get to another Summit......but I don't know how it could be any better than this years. We were led in worship on Friday morning by Bread of Stone....they were great. The day was packed with speakers and panels....then the night was topped of with a talk from Margaret Becker. Saturday the worship was led by The Dustin Burke Band and that night ended with Shaun Groves teaching us how to walk in integrity. Each night was filled with bands playing to close out the evenings....I was sorry to have to go home. What a great time.

Chris

Glad you enjoyed the Summit. Anything you'd like to see added or subtracted next year?

I really had a awesome time at the CIA Summit...I think I wish it would have started on Thursday. I was mentally drained by about 4pm on Saturday. Your talk was awesome. I would have liked to have had a little more hands on discussion about the nuts and bolts of getting booked. That was one of my main reasons for going. I think that it should cost more, too. I loved the entire weekend and it would be worth it if it was twice the price.
