Old Hymn used at Forest Park Community Church

This past Sunday at Forest Park Community Church we used my arrangement of 'O For a Thousand Tongues'. It was a great gift to come up with the arrangement. I remember praying that God would give me a special anointing to find some great music for a song. I had been reading through some hymns from a book my pastor let me read....after I came up with the music, I found the book opened to Charles Wesley's monumental hymn. I put the words to the music just to get a great melody....hoping to change the words later.....but the words fit so well....well....they stuck.

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer’s praise
The glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of His grace
Chorus:
O for a thousand tongues,
for a thousand tongues
To sing of Your great name.
O for a thousand tongues,
for a thousand tongues
To sing of Your great name.
Verse 2:
Jesus the name that calms my fears,
that bids my sorrows cease
It’s music in this sinner’s ears,
it’s life and health and peace.
Bridge:
He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free
His blood can make the foulest clean,
His blood availed for me
For me, His blood availed for me,
His blood availed for me,
His blood availed for me
