Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a blast at Forest Park Community Church. It was a lot of work to go to the Jeffersontown Community Center in suburbia Louisville, Kentucky, but it was awesome. We started the service off with Rend the Heavens' 'Holy'. That set everything into motion. The morning set featured these songs:

A Thousand Hallelujahs by Mark Roach
He Reigns by the Newsboys
Come Thou Almighty King
Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
King of Glory by Third Day

During the offering we had Michaela Riggle share her testimony with us. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for autism. She read in the Bible (John chapter 6) the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 with 5 barley loaves and two fish. That gave her a vision to help raise the money to buy the new medicine that would help her young autistic brother.

Our Pastor Ronnie Caswell gave a clear presentation of what the ressurection means to all of us and we concluded the ministry time with Chris Tomlin's 'The Wonderful Cross'. It was a great day to see all the Forest Park church in one building, not seperated by multiple services. Boy Forest Park could use a new buliding!

Losing.....slowly!

Well the latest wieght situation is a drop to 263 on Sunday morning, to 264 on Monday morning.....I suppose due to the El Nopalito easter celebration food I plunged into yesterday...chips and all. I honestly thought it would be worse.

This will make it difficult to hit 258 by Thursday morning.....but the attempt will be made. Oatmeal in the a.m., salads, and some sort of baked fish tonight...and maybe again, soon. Low snacks, but something that will keep the fires burning. AND the biggest one, not eating at night! And continue to work out at Ideal Fitness.

My big goal is to be down to 258 by the CIA Summit, which starts on Thursday evening. And then along with that, not go back to poor habits while I am there! I am hoping to reach that goal on Thursday morning.

Sorry to be late on this....I had a lot going on last week. Taxes to do, lots of preparation for the awsome Easter service at the Jeffersontown Community Center....and just a couple of little girls that need attention!

I also put my song 'Refuge(Pslam 62)' up on the indieheaven.com Fan Faves. Click the picture below to get there and vote for it...in the Adult Contemporary category.

Sunday service...March 16th, 2008

Just thought I would list the songs we did this past Sunday.

Here are the songs:

Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)by Brenton Brown/Brian Doerksen
Everlasting God by Benton Brown and Ken Riley
Here is Our King by David Crowder
Love the Lord by Lincoln Brewster
The Old Rugged Cross by George Bennard
Come Worship the King by Sonny Lallerstedt
Offering – “Cry Out to Jesus” by Third Day
What A Friend We Have in Jesus by Joseph Scriven/Charles Converse

Brewster's Love the Lord song was a new one for us. And Third Day's "Cry Out to Jesus" is a powerful song that touches many.

Big Loser

Ok, I am getting on the kick of kicking myself into a healthier lifestyle. I changed my eating habits, got a membership at Ideal Fitness, and have started running. I still struggle with getting the poundage off.

My goal is to lose 70 pounds total and 40 of that by Memorial Day, 2008. I am down about 12, but doesn't seem what I have been doing is kicking the pounds off for the last week. SO, last night I joined The Biggest Loser Club, hoping it will assist in some helpful advise. You know, NBC's answer to American Idol called The Biggest Loser , a show for giant people wanting to lose the wait. The show is in it's 5th season. I have a hard time stomaching all the bluburing on that show, (who says real men don't cry), but if you can get past all that, there is a lot of encouragement and advice one can use if you really want to lose the weight.

I started at 278......wow, 278. And my current goal is 208. That would be awesome. I will dedicate one post a week.....probably Thursdays, to how things are progressing. Keep an eye out.....leave some comments....and go and buy some music!
