My top 5 music artists from last year (2006) are as follows:
1. Third Day: I really like their song on the Christmas Offerings called 'Born in Bethlehem'.
2. Leeland: what impresses me about this young band is that Leeland himself is so young and I feel a bit of Keith Green in his heart. You need to check out their Sound of Melodies project.
3. Casting Crowns: I love how the song, Lifesong' the title cut of Lifesong, was easy to use in worship when my pastor went through a series of sermons in James.
4. Mark Roach: I got the chance to use his song 'You Are' several times last year.
5. Keith Green: Since I mentioned him before....Green changed Christian music with his passion and heart for God. He changed me. Check out many of his CDs at Amazon.com.

song: You Came Along and Shoebox
Not too long ago my wife and I saw 'A Night in the Museum'. We have a 9 month old and a mid-2 year old.....so, we don't get out much. It is always nice to go to a movie.....have a little date.....eat a little popcorn. It is doubly nice to see a movie we enjoy.
It's a story about a museum having to cut back their expenses and releasing their three elderly night security guards, played by Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney and Bill Cobbs. In their stead is a young and unsuspecting divorced father, Ben Stiller, who is struggling himself to make a living. The storyline continues with Stiller being left in charge of a museum where the wax figures come to life every night.
It has a nice plot and interesting characters. Robin Williams plays Teddy Roosevelt, Owen Wilson plays a cowboy who is at odds with Octavius played by Steve Coogin. There is no sex, drugs, alcohol or cussing. A great family movie.

Two Ways to Get Visits to Your Music Site
Here are two things you can do to help promote your website. I invite you to come along and use the same methods I am using. I'll post a couple of them in this post.
Number One: Traffic Swarm
Set Traffic Swarm as your start page, click 8 links everytime you begin a surf session (or at least one time when you open your browser) and you'll see people checking out your music. It is free, easy, and there's not a ton of music sites on this traffic exchange - so we stand out there as something unique. I get visits and make new fans with Traffic Swarm everyday. As most musicians know, it is not always easy to keep new people coming to your music site - with the Swarm - you don't have to wonder if someone is going to be stopping by to learn about your music today - you can count on it.
Number Two: MyBlogLog
This is a pretty awesome way to meet new friend, see new faces, and network your ownline sites, blog, myspace, etc.
Here's my blog log member page: Carder's MyBlogLog pay it a visit - consider signing up - feel free to add me as a contact and to join any of my communities: A Day in Life Chris Carder Music Online chris carder's myspace or Too Much Records

But, more thank helping me out .... I hope these lyrics from that song will be an encouragement to you ... the song is a love song and the believer's testimony ... one many of us share :-)
You Came Along (listen)
John 5:8; John 3:1-17
Written by Mac Powell and Chris Carder
Thought I was fine and I knew all the answers
Sure that I was doing everything right
You came and opened my eyes to a different light
Just like a fool taking all things for granted
Living my life thinking I had it all
Didn’t know I was so wrong till I heard You call
You came along and You wanted to save me
It was all wrong but You made it all right
Gave me a hope that I needed
but never had known
Didn’t know love
until You came along
I was a ship in a storm on the ocean
Lost and not knowing which way I should go
You shined Your light in the dark and then led me home.
You came along and You wanted to save me
It was all wrong but You made it all right
Gave me a hope that I needed
but never had known
Didn’t know love
until You came along
