KRIS-to-fur is that how you say it?

Happened upon this name meanings thing - where they wanted your name and email and such just to tell you something you could google?

Anyway, the following is the result of my 10's if not 20's of seconds research - rolling back to my full name:

CHRISTOPHER

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: KRIS-to-fur [key]

Means "bearing Christ", derived from Late Greek Χριστος (Christos) combined with φερω (phero) "to bear, to carry". Christopher was the legendary saint who carried the young Jesus across a river. He is the patron saint of travellers. Another famous bearer was Christopher Columbus, the explorer who reached the West Indies in the 15th century. (source)

Popularity of Christopher (odd, for a few years in the 1990's some women were named 'Christopher' what's up with that? Where are you female Christopher's out there? Hidding probably.

Related names - 'Chip' you gotta be kidding?!!!
Origin of the name Christopher (sorta)

Well, isn't that fun - and it saved me all that time of waiting for the truckload of sp@m I would have gotten if I had used that online offer.

Well, the links above should be fun if you want to search your own first name.

And here's a couple of new year's resolutions for those setting the bar low: "Get in a whole new rut!" and "Procrastinate more. Starting tomorrow."

t00-m0ch,
Chris
